Created

We have the wonderful gift of being created from nothing.  Just a lump of clay that God took and turned into human form; what is truly amazing is that God made us in His own image.  We often forget, in the craziness of the day, that God took His majestic hands and created each one of us for His glory and purpose.

Augustine wrote:  "Men go abroad to wonder at the height of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, and the vast compass of the season, at the circular motion of the stars; and they pass by themselves without wondering."

May we slow down enough to sit at His feet and ponder the reasons why He created us in His image.  He loves us with an everlasting love, He will never leave us nor forsake us, and He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
